Year 2 Drawing Chinese Temples
I have been working in a school in Worcester, and in Year 2 they have been looking at Phileas Fogg and 80 Days around the World. The teachers have been very creative and the classrooms are decked out with fluffy clouds and hot air balloons and this week they have been looking at China.
The children looked at the photos and videos I have taken in Beijing of the Temple of Heaven 天坛 Tiāntán
They had a choice photos of various Chinese temples printed that they could design and draw. They then had construction bricks and constructed their own temple to great effect.
They have also been constructing lanterns with Chinese New Year couplets written on. Wonderfully creative children in a really creative school!
